Religiously known as the day of rest, Sunday is anything but for the majority of couples. That\u2019s according to a\u00a0new study<\/a>\u00a0that is reporting that, out of all the days of the week, many couples agree that 9 a.m. on Sunday is the perfect time to get it on.<\/p>\n

Commissioned by Superdrug, the responses of more than 2,000 participants also note that in general, Saturdays are more popular than any other day (note: there\u2019s a difference between a\u00a0popular<\/em>\u00a0time and the\u00a0perfect<\/em>\u00a0time), accounting for three of the top fives days to have sex. Overall, before noon and before bedtime are the most popular hours.<\/p>\n

For those unaware, morning sex has its share of benefits. Research has shown time and time again that morning sex acts similarly to a daily vitamin, strengthening your immune system by boosting levels of IgA, an antibody that protects your body against infection. In addition to fending off sickness, those who opt for morning sex also experience a closer bond with their partner throughout the day due to oxytocin flooding the brain.<\/p>\n

If that weren\u2019t enough to encourage whoopee before noon, morning sex helps men last longer in bed than they normally would, as a man\u2019s testosterone levels are highest at the beginning of the day since sleep tends to recharge a man\u2019s sexual batteries. If a raging plank of morning wood is any indicator, men are also found to be horniest in the morning and less likely to fall victim to premature ejaculation, as this abundance of energy lends itself to both a better and longer-lasting romp.<\/p>\n

So in case you need any more reason to have morning sex, here you have it. Get up bright and early, skip that methodical cup of morning coffee and opt instead to heat things up between the sheets with your partner. There\u2019s plenty of stale coffee available at the office.<\/p>\n
